Founded in 1962, Malindi Golf & Country Club features an interesting 9-hole course with additional Greens and Tees that creates the feeling of a full 18-holes. The course is built alongside the dunes and then winds its way around forest and wetlands.
The club has invested heavily in recent years in an irrigation project that sees all Greens and Teeboxes watered; this project will gradually extend to all Fairways.
The Club is a member of the Kenya Golf Union (K.G.U) and the Kenya Ladies Golf Union (K.L.G.U) and supports golf activities through its affiliations with these unions.
Visitors are most welcome.

First built in 1962, the clubhouse has a rustic feel that members wish to preserve… but the roof has now been replaced thanks to the generosity of our Lady Captain
The clubhouse now sports a very smart new hat!
Our Lady Captain also upgraded our golf clubs storage… so many thanks Luigina.
The course is sometimes closed to visitors on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons when members and their guests enjoy competition
A Baobab tree by the first tee is there to bring you good luck on your round!
Our first hole is a friendly introduction to your round - 405 yards to a small green. The tee box and first part of this fairway is shared by hole 10 (par 4, 425 yard SI 1)
The irrigation project began in 2009. Members, several corporate sponsors and the Senior Golfing Society of Kenya have brought the system to this level. More to come!

The tee shot is through a tunnel within the forest
The lakes fill in the rainy seasons. In 2009, we were joined by a rogue hippo. He stayed for 4 weeks but failed to pay his Monthly Subscription so was asked to leave!
The hole passes the largest of the wetland lakes and the approach is over a tough water hazard.
Ever green Neem trees frame many holes on the course.

Chip and putt for par is often the way.
Played from a different tee, this sloping green will be played again as your 16th hole (par 3, 215 yards).
The ponds and the brook were sponsored by a group of Italian friends of the Club.
The approach over a brook... walk the Swilikan replica bridge to the Green.
The green is shared with hole 15 (par 5, 535 yards).
A Flamboyant in bloom beside the fairway.
Stroke Index 1, the toughest hole on the course where a bogey is a good result.
Tee it up - to a downhill green. Arguably the strongest of the par 3s.
Malindi has six par 3s (three on each 9-holes) and members wish to preserve this tradition.
The irrigation project continues; all greens now watered twice a day.
From the summit of the dunes, and with views out to sea, the chance for an heroic drive to a fairway below.

The approach to the green.
This raised green offers protection to a 500 yard par 5, reached in two by long hitters.
Surrounded by bunkers, a true test of play.
The approach over a hazard to a well protected Green
A dog leg to the right makes this a strong hole
Looking through the Eucalyptus to 16th Tee
Shared with 7th hole but played from a different tee... par here is a good result.
The top pond receives water from one of three boreholes.
Beware the pond to the right of the green - a watery grave for many a golf ball.
